Every Variable, Your Decision — Suit Customization Options

A complete reference guide to every customization option we handle in-house — from fabric weight and lapel style to lining print, button finish, and export packaging. If it's on a suit, you control it.

Every suit we produce is built to a client's specification. There is no standard catalog we pull from. This page documents the full range of variables we work with so you can define your order clearly before we start. If your requirement isn't listed here, ask us — we handle most non-standard requests.

Suit Style & Silhouette

The foundational decisions — what type of suit you're producing and how it should fit. These choices drive pattern development and need to be confirmed before sampling begins.

Piece Count

Two-piece (jacket + trouser), three-piece (+ waistcoat), or jacket-only. Each combination is a separate pattern development item.

Breast Style

Single-breasted (2-button or 3-button) or double-breasted (4 or 6 button). Double-breasted requires a different pattern block.

Fit Profile

Slim, modern slim, regular/tailored, or classic/comfort. We define grade increments for each at your sizing standard.

Jacket Length

Standard (29"–30"), long (31"–32"), or short/cropped for women's styles (26"–28"). Specified at sample stage.

Trouser Cut

Slim tapered, straight leg, or wide leg. Flat front or pleated. Belt loops or side adjusters.

Trouser Break

Full break, half break, or no break (cropped). Specified with hem allowance at pattern stage.

02

Lapel Style & Construction

Lapel style affects the overall formality and aesthetic of the jacket. Construction method affects drape and longevity.

Notch Lapel

Standard for business suits. Versatile, professional, appropriate for most corporate and uniform applications.

Peak Lapel

More formal. Common on double-breasted jackets and premium hotel management suits. Adds visual authority.

Shawl Collar

Evening or semi-formal applications. Available on request. Less common in corporate programs.

Full Canvas

Floating canvas construction. Better drape over time, more responsive to the body. Higher cost. Recommended for premium lines and luxury hotel programs.

Half Canvas

Canvas in the chest and lapel area, fused in the lower jacket. Industry standard for commercial suiting. Good value for uniform programs.

Fully Fused

Interlining bonded throughout. Most cost-effective construction. Suitable for budget-range corporate programs where consistency matters more than premium finish.

03

Pockets

Pocket style affects both the formality and the utility of the suit. We specify pocket configurations at the sample stage.

Jetted Pockets

Clean, formal. The most formal main pocket option. Standard for business suits in banking, hotel management, and premium corporate programs.

Flap Pockets

Most common choice. Flap can be tucked in for a jetted appearance. Practical for uniform programs — the flap protects the pocket opening.

Patch Pockets

Casual. More typical for sport coats than formal suits. Available on request for relaxed hospitality or resort briefs.

Ticket Pocket

Small additional pocket above the right main pocket. Optional detail for premium and fashion-oriented private label lines.

Chest Welt Pocket

Standard on all jackets. Single welt. Used for pocket squares on dress suits.

Interior Pockets

Breast pocket (left), phone pocket, and pen pocket are all standard interior configurations. Custom interior layouts are available.

04

Vents & Back Style

Back vent style affects both aesthetics and practicality, particularly for active roles in hospitality and corporate environments.

Double Vent

Two side vents. The most common choice for modern business suits. Practical for movement — recommended for active hotel and hospitality roles.

Single Vent

One center vent. Traditional. Still common in some markets (North America) and for classic-cut suits in conservative corporate programs.

No Vent

Clean back. More formal and Italian in aesthetic. Less practical for active wear. Suited to luxury private label and high-fashion programs.

05

Sleeve Details

Sleeve length, button count, and buttonhole function are specified at the pattern stage and confirmed during fit sample review.

Button Count

Standard is 4 buttons per sleeve. 3 or 5 available on request depending on jacket length and style.

Working Buttonholes

Surgeon's cuffs — functional buttonholes on sleeve. A detail associated with premium suits. Available at standard or premium canvas constructions.

Kissing Buttons

Overlapping buttons on sleeve cuff. Aesthetic detail for premium and fashion-oriented lines. Specified at pattern development stage.
